Oscar’s Resume

The Big O has played like the other Big O. He’s dominating the glass like 7-footers did in the 60s. Oscar averages 16.1 points and 15.2 rebounds per game, the most in the nation. If he continues to play at the same pace, he could be the first player in Division I basketball since 1980 to average 15 points and 15 rebounds per game. UK has not had a player average more than 14 rebounds per game since 1957.

Tshiebwe has already broke a few records this season. He surpassed Shaquille O’Neal’s Rupp Arena rebounding record by grabbing 28 and out-rebounding the entire Western Kentucky basketball team. A month later he had 21 points and 22 rebounds against Mississippi State, the first 20-20 game by a Wildcat since Mike Phillips in 1976. Kentucky ranks seventh nationally in rebounding and Tshiebwe is responsible for 40% of those boards. Incredible.
