Oscar Tshiebwe to throw out the first pitch at Legends Opening Day

The celebration of Oscar Tshiebwe’s return for a senior season will carry on over to Thursday evening when Tshiebwe makes a special guest appearance in town. Over at the newly-renovated Wild Health Field, Tshiebwe will throw out the first pitch for the Lexington Legends on Opening Day.
The Legends are scheduled to begin their 2022 season at Wild Health Field at 6:35 PM ET against the South Maryland Blue Crabs. Tshiebwe will throw out his ceremonial first pitch a little before the Legends and Blue Crabs officially start the new year in Lexington.
Tickets are available for anyone interested in seeing Tshiebwe’s arm or supporting the home team Legends in their season debut.

Wild Health Stadium renovations
New this year at Wild Health Field (formerly known as Whitaker Bank Ballpark), several upgrades throughout the stadium were installed to enhance the fan experience. Most notably, the video board at center field is more than two times larger than the old screen, plus a new synthetic turf gives the stadium an entirely new look. There are also new LED lights, video ribbons, and digital signage included in the makeover.
Additionally, Wild Health Stadium will host two teams this year with the Wild Health Genomes, a new Atlantic League team, joining the Lexington Legends as home tenants.
Genomes Opening Day is May 3 against the Charleston Dirty Birds.
