Otega Oweh, Amari Williams named to NABC All-District Teams

Of the schools located in Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska and Tennessee, the National Association of Basketball Coaches have decided that Otega Oweh and Amari Williams are among the very best. The NABC 2024-25 Division I All-District Teams were announced on Tuesday with Oweh earning first team honors and Williams named to the second team.

There are 10 total regions, all covering multiple states with Kentucky part of the Central District. It was previously separated by conference.

Oweh wrapped up his junior year earning career highs in points (16.2), rebounds (4.6), assists (1.6), steals (1.6) and blocks (0.5). He would be named to the All-Southeastern Conference Second Team as well as the Oscar Robertson Trophy Midseason Watch List.

As for Williams, he’s averaging 11.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per contest — rebounds and assists both career-highs — while also leading the team in field-goal percentage at 58.0 and blocks with 40. He was a preseason selection to the Kareem-Abdul Jabbar Award Watch List.
