It was a very big weekend for the Kentucky Basketball program, which added three new players in Lamont Butler, Otega Oweh, and Andrew Carr. Keeping track of and learning about each new Wildcat isn’t easy, as new roster news is breaking by the minute; KSR is here to help.

Over at the KSR YouTube Channel, videographer Steven Peake is doing breakdowns of each new Cat with the help of Brandon Ramsey, our scouting expert. On Saturday, they taught us about Lamont Butler, previously the starting point guard at San Diego State. Yesterday, they dropped their video on Otega Oweh, a 6-foot-5, 215-pound guard who averaged 11.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, one assist, and 1.5 steals in 24.9 minutes per outing last season at Oklahoma. Oweh will have two seasons of eligibility remaining at Kentucky.

This morning, their breakdown of Wake Forest transfer big Andrew Carr went live. Carr, a 6-11, 230-pound forward, averaged 13.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks in 32.5 minutes last season for the Demon Deacons. He totaled over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 100 blocks in four years at Delaware and Wake Forest. He will have one season of eligibility remaining.

Mark Pope called Carr the “prototypical college and NBA power forward.” Ramsey says Carr is tailor-made for Pope’s system as a stretch four, having averaged over one made three per game last season.
