In the least surprising news you’ll hear today, Otega Oweh‘s poster slam — an all-timer for the Kentucky Wildcats — earned No. 1 honors in last night’s SportsCenter Top 10 plays.

It didn’t matter the level of competition he’d see when comparing the best moments of the day, because it’s almost impossible to top just how ridiculous No. 00’s vicious throwdown was against Texas A&M. Stuffed a couple of times at the rim this season, Oweh wasn’t going to miss his chance against the Aggies, losing his defender on a drive from the right wing and barreling down the floor for the one-handed tomahawk slam all over Pharrel Payne.

To say it was filthy would be an understatement — it was downright disrespectful, and we can’t get enough of it.

His teammates hadn’t seen anything like it, all calling their shots on Oweh as the #SCTop10 king for the night.

“Yo, that was crazy. I was in the corner because I had something messed up on my thumb — I was bleeding — so I looked over and Otega was just in the air dunking on the dude. It was wild,” Jaxson Robinson said after the win. “Definitely SportsCenter Top 10, probably No. 1. Has to be No. 1.”

“Yeah, that was crazy. (Otega) tries that a lot, he goes in there a lot and it always seems to be that 45 degree coming from the right wing, he’s coming down and the big man coming over from the bottom,” Travis Perry added. “I knew it was going down today, it was crazy. It was one of the better ones I’ve seen. He has to be top-three, top-two, for sure. That was crazy.”

“For me, it’s about time, because I’ve seen him — I was on the court when he tried it against Florida, when he tried it against Georgia. Seeing it actually executed, it was great,” Amari Williams continued. “I was happy for him. It has to be (SportsCenter Top 10), for sure. It has to be.”

You just have to enjoy every angle of that one.

It belongs on the list of all-time Kentucky basketball dunks, the only question is how high? There weren’t many better.
