Oweh, Lowe and Aberdeen represent UK MBB; Key, Morgan and Strack for WBB at SEC Media Days

It will be absolute chaos in the best way down in Birmingham for SEC Tipoff ’26 — the conference’s annual basketball media days, scheduled for October 14 and 15 at the Grand Bohemian Hotel. This time, though, the format comes with a twist: men’s and women’s basketball overlapping on both days, shifting from all 16 men’s coaches and their players speaking on day one, followed by the 16 women’s coaches and their players providing updates on day two.
The men’s and women’s programs will go on the same day, but it’ll be eight schools on the first and the other eight on the second — Kentucky getting to wrap up the event on day one.
Representing the Wildcats will be Mark Pope and Kenny Brooks, obviously, with Otega Oweh, Jaland Lowe and Denzel Aberdeen making up the men and Teonni Key, Tonie Morgan and Clara Strack making up the women.
It’ll be Brooks starting things off at 4:20 p.m. ET on Tuesday, followed by the women’s players immediately after at 4:35 p.m. ET. From there, Pope will speak at the podium at 5:20 p.m. ET, followed by the men’s players at 5:35 p.m. ET to conclude the day.
