Paintsville's Marlana VanHoose crushes anthem at College World Series

You know Marlana VanHoose. You love the Paintsville native and Johnson Central graduate. And now, the College World Series does too.
Kentucky‘s favorite singing sensation made her way to Omaha on Sunday to perform the national anthem in front of 24,000-plus college baseball fans, namely LSU and Florida diehards. Asked to do the prestigious pregame honor ahead of Game 2, VanHoose brought the house down, sending chills up the spine of every person in attendance.

VanHoose, born blind with Cytomegalovirus (CMV) and later diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy, has become a national icon. Performing the anthem at NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, NCAA basketball and football games, along with NASCAR races and other major events, she can now add Men’s College World Series to her growing list.
She’s a staple at Kentucky football and men’s and women’s basketball games, a can’t-miss event every time she gets her hands on a microphone in Lexington. Now the world has quickly realized Marlana VanHoose’s talents.
