Admitted AWL Will Levis interviewed by 'Pardon My Take' on KSR
Big Cat and PFT Commenter from the insanely popular ‘Pardon My Take’ podcast took over the Kentucky Sports Radio airwaves Tuesday morning for their annual summer show, and in an effort to win over the KSR listening audience, they brought on Will Levis for an interview about Kentucky Football’s upcoming season and other Levis-related topics.
An admitted AWL (award-winning listener of ‘Pardon My Take’), Levis confessed to being starstruck early in the conversation with two of his favorite podcasters.
He said, “I’ve been able to meet and talk to a lot of really cool people, but being an AWL and a fan of you guys for so long, I’ve never been so jacked to talk to somebody. I met Tom Brady, one of my idols, last week and I’m just as nervous talking to you guys as I was to him.”
From there, Levis told PMT how things are going at the start of summer workouts on campus and the team’s expectations in 2022. His current NFL draft projections and feelings for a certain rival came up along the way too.
If any of this interests you, you can listen to the entire interview at the beginning of the second hour of today’s KSR podcast. Or if reading is more your thing, take a few minutes to scroll through a brief rundown of Levis’ comments from his Tuesday morning conversation with PMT on KSR.
Mayo was an early topic
Mayonaisse enthusiasts will appreciate Levis’ defense of his top-3 condiment early in the interview. PFT Commenter brought up Levis’ eating habits right away and your QB1 was quick to defend mayo against its haters and rival aiolis.
He still eats peeled bananas from time to time, if you’re wondering.
Atlanta is the goal
Asked by Big Cat if the SEC Championship is within reach, Levis replied, “That’s the goal. That’s what our hearts are set on and that’s what’s been established from Day 1 of the offseason.”

He then called out longtime caller Harvey, who earlier in the show questioned if Kentucky Football has any leadership and predicted the Wildcats will take a step backward from 2021’s success.
Levis said, “Listening to Harvey call in earlier, the fans who say that we’re not going to be as good as last year or we’re lacking the leadership from a senior standpoint, I’m definitely going to be stepping in and making sure I’m that guy for the team and we definitely have other guys that can do that.”
He called any doubt among the Big Blue Nation, “as much motivation as we can get.”
Lewis-ville, Lewey-ville Cardinals
Big Cat is known to occasionally stir the pot and that’s what he did on the show by asking Levis about Louisville, saying, “They stink, right?”
Levis wouldn’t go there, but he joked about his northern mispronunciation of Louisville and said, “It’s a fun rivalry and even though I’ve only been a part of it for this past year, we’re going to do everything we can to get the same result this year as last year.”
