Peeking In On Black Friday Shopping Lists
I have never been one for standing in line early on Black Friday to get anything (other than a third helping of leftovers), but if you live in America, chances are you know someone who does. It’s a yearly tradition for many, and as long as you stay safe while shopping, I’ve heard it can be a pretty fun experience. So with that said, I have been pushing my sources all morning to bring the latest news to you, and I’ve secured some.
Here’s 8 items that 8 of your favorite Kentucky related persons are shopping for today.
Julius Randle
-Word on the street is, Randle is looking to pick up his own In-N-Out franchise, so he can get a double double even on days in between games.
Mark Stoops
-To say Mark Stoops might be disappointed in this season of UK Football might be an understatement. There have been bright spots, no doubt, and the future is looking good – but you know he was hoping for a little more on field success. So with that, there’s three things on the Stoops list today – Matt Elam, a win against Tennessee, and a packed house at Commonwealth for the game. We can get him one of those BBN, so get after it.
Tom Jurich
-With all the clearing of basketball players Tom has been doing, he’s looking to meet up with Ben Stein this Friday. Or maybe Buddy Garrity. Closed eyes, Cleared players, Can’t lose.
John Calipari
-Last year a ‘magic wand’ was on the top of Calipri’s wish list. With a fantastically talented team this go around, Cal really wants for little. But the one thing he could really use, would be a visit from Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s defensive stopper mentality. James Young is doing in a pinch for right now, but the one thing that this team could use more than anything, is that killer defensive mentality.

Butch Jones
-The parallels between Butch and Stoops are going to be interesting to watch. Both faced a huge hurdle taking over SEC jobs, both immediately came in and started recruiting like gangbusters. Butch has had a little more success on the field than Stoops so far, but both look poised to have solid careers at their respective schools. However, with a big rivalry game this weekend – one that doesn’t mean much more than playing for bragging rights – Butch is looking for Kentucky to start any QB that wasn’t a WR for the majority of the year. Matt Roark – never forget.
Willie Cauley-Stein
-Willie is the kind of person that’s probably hard to shop for – he seems like the kind of guy that has everything he wants. That said, WCS is apparently looking for a second Zombie Survival Guide for stashing at the Joe Craft Center, in case the outbreak happens during practice.
Providence
-The Providence Friars come in to Sunday’s game at 7-1 with wins over Vanderbilt and Boston College – nothing to shake a stick at. But what’s at the top of their shopping list is some sort of bus malfunction, so they don’t have to show up on Sunday.
Jermaine Kimbrough
-The Cleveland State assistant coach jumped in to the news when he tweeted about getting cheated in Rupp thanks to the officials. He got hit with a one game suspension, but for future games, he is looking for a cell phone jammer – because tweeting while upset is never a recipe for a happy holiday.
