We do not know the back story as to why Ledger was wearing the UK t-shirt in a bar, but we do know Alex Poythress and Jared Lorenzen want to believe the actor was a big fan of theirs. (Sorry, Alex: the timeline doesn't add up.)

Ledger is best known for playing the Joker in
The Dark Knight, objectively the best villain role in any movie ever. He did not have any Kentucky ties that I'm aware of, but I'm sure someone will be quick to tell us in the comments section if he did.
