PHOTOS: Historic Kentucky Baseball Regional Championship
It was a win for the ages. After suffering a Saturday night defeat to a border rival, the Kentucky baseball team battled back and beat the Indiana Hoosiers, twice. It all culminated with a 4-2 victory Monday night in front of a record-breaking crowd at Kentucky Proud Park.
The Kentucky baseball program now has two regional championships in school history, both orchestrated by Nick Mingione. Now in his seventh season, the UK manager thanked the fans that sold out KPP, the program’s predecessors and the players.
