While most of the big names in the professional golf world are across the pond playing in the Genesis Scottish Open in preparation for next weekend’s 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland, there is another professional golf tournament taking place in Central Kentucky.

In the opening round of the ISCO Championship at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, we saw multiple players have a birdie party during the first 18 holes.

Former No. 1 amateur Pierceson Coody sits at the top of the leaderboard heading into round two. The 24-year-old fired an impressive 61 that included 11 birdies and seven pars to take a two stroke lead at 11-under. The round was the best of Coody’s career. Do not expect the scorecard circles to stop now.
