kevinstallings Sources are reporting that the University of Pittsburgh will hire former Vanderbilt coach Kevin Stallings to fill the vacancy left by Jamie Dixon. It's been a rough week for Pitt fans. After losing their long-time coach in a head-scratching departure to TCU, the Panthers are now hiring a man who lost 14 games this season with three likely NBA players on his roster. Stallings took the 'Dores to seven NCAA tournaments in his 17 seasons there, but was defeated by a double-digit seed in the majority of his appearances. If someone told you at the beginning of the year that Stallings would be at Pitt and that Dixon would be at TCU by the season's end, you would probably call him crazy. Alas, we live in an unpredictable world - where Michigan State can lose in the first round of the tournament and Donald Trump can win the Republican nomination. Sometimes it's best to expect to the unexpected. UPDATE: It's official.
