Tennessee took care of business at Rupp Arena. Will the SEC Champs continue to roll through the competition with another big win over Kentucky? We’ll find out inside Thompson-Boling Arena on Saturday afternoon at 4 pm EST.

The Vegas oddsmakers have put together a recipe, thrown ’em in the oven, and cooked a line for Saturday’s border rivalry. Tennessee opens as a 9.5 favorite over Kentucky, according to FanDuel. The total and moneyline options are not yet available.

The computers are not on the Cats’ side. ESPN’s BPI only gives Kentucky a 15.1 winning percentage. KenPom is only slightly more optimistic with a winning percentage of 21% and a projected final score of 86-77 in favor of the Vols.

A matchup between the top two teams in the SEC, Kentucky must win for a chance to secure the No. 2 seed in the SEC Tournament. The scenarios are a bit complicated, but a loss could make them fall all the way to a Thursday game as the No. 5 seed.

Tennessee has been a hot team Against the Spread (ATS). The Vols have covered in four straight games and six of their last seven. During this stretch the over has only hit twice. Kentucky boasts a 17-13 ATS record, failing to cover in each of their last two games. Over bettors have cashed tickets in four straight games. Kentucky is 6-3 ATS (and straight up) on the road this season.

Even though the Wildcats lost earlier this year at Rupp, Kentucky swept the series in 2023. It’s gone back and forth since 2018, with each side taking turns winning consecutive rivalry games.
