Big Blue Nation is still licking its wounds from Saturday’s loss to Auburn at Rupp Arena. Fortunately, the page is quickly turning to the regular season finale at the home of the Wildcats. Senior Day for the Kentucky basketball program is right around the corner and Las Vegas has handicapped the matchup.

Kentucky opens as a 12.5-point favorite over LSU on FanDuel. The total is set at 157.5 points.

KenPom is confident in the Cats, calling for an 86-72 victory. Bart Torvik‘s projections aren’t too different, forecasting an 86-73 Wildcat win at Rupp Arena.

You’ll only find one team behind LSU in the SEC standings. The Tigers logged two of their three wins in mid-February. They’ve lost the three games since and have an overall record of 14-15.

The Bayou Bengals are 13-15 Against the Spread (ATS) this season. LSU has covered in three of its last five games. They are 2-6 ATS as a road dog in SEC play.

Kentucky dropped to 15-13 ATS this season after the 16-point loss to Auburn. The Cats are 4-2 ATS at Rupp Arena against SEC foes. In their only other game as a double-digit favorite in SEC play, Kentucky easily covered against South Carolina.

Kentucky will play LSU on Fat Tuesday. Does that feel familiar? Thirty-one years ago, the Wildcats erased a 31-point deficit to defeat LSU in what became known as the Mardi Gras Miracle.
