It’s a new era in the Battle of the Bluegrass. If the Las Vegas forecast is accurate, it’ll be much more of the same in this lopsided rivalry between Kentucky and Louisville.

Kentucky opens as a 10.5-point favorite over Louisville at Rupp Arena, according to FanDuel. The total is set at 157.5.

Kenpom calls for an 83-72 Kentucky victory. It’s right on par with Bart Torvik‘s 84-73 prediction.

If you enjoy making an emotional hedge, you can bet the Cards moneyline at +450. However, now is a good time to remind you that Louisville has not won at Rupp Arena in 6,187 days. The last Louisville win in Lexington was on January 5, 2008, when Billy Gillispie roamed the Kentucky sidelines.

Kentucky has dominated this series, winning 13 of the last 16 games. The last two Kentucky wins were decided by an average of 21 points. The Wildcats lead the all-time series 39-17.

Louisville enters this contest with a 6-4 record, but they are 4-6 Against the Spread (ATS). The under hit in six straight games before Wednesday’s three-point win over UTEP. Kentucky is 9-1 with a 6-4 ATS record.
