If you live in Lexington or are traveling through, avoid the area around UK Chandler Hospital.

UK Police, the FBI, EMS, and firefighters are on the scene, along with a bomb squad. Nicholasville Road/South Limestone is closed to traffic both northbound and southbound between Cooper/Waller Drive and Virginia Avenue/Huguelet Drive. Police are directing traffic to alternate routes.

UPDATE: UK Police said they received a tip from the Versailles PD that someone who may be armed and dangerous was coming to the hospital to visit a family member. Upon finding the individual, 44-year-old Bryan Carroll from Versailles, police took him down and found firearms, body armor, and a couple of explosive devices in his vehicle. He has been arrested and will face state and federal charges. Thankfully, no one was hurt. [LEX 18]
