Poythress, Teague and Miller among new names playing in Champions Weekend Charity Game

You know about La Familia and Kentucky’s alumni team for The Basketball Tournament — a loaded roster capable of winning the million-dollar prize. Don’t forget, though, the Champions Weekend Charity Basketball Game is also taking place this weekend, serving as the appetizer ahead of the entree that is TBT in Lexington.
And there are new names joining in on the action at Tates Creek High School on Saturday, July 12.
The La Familia headliners are Andrew and Aaron Harrison, Willie Cauley-Stein, Archie Goodwin, DeAndre Liggins and Doron Lamb, among others. A few of those names will be joined by some special guests this weekend in Lexington, including:
- Alex Poythress
- Julius Mays
- Jon Hood
- Jarrod Polson
- Dominique Hawkins
- Marquis Teague
- Darius Miller
Ansley Almonor, the Harrison Twins, Kahlil Whitney, Liggins and Lamb are among the La Familia members set to participate, as well.
Tickets will be available at the door and proceeds will benefit local community programs. The event starts Saturday evening at 6 p.m. ET and runs through 8 p.m. ET.
