Put UK Cornerback Brandin Echols in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest
What?
In Brandin Echols’ bio, the Kentucky cornerback is listed as 5-foot-11, a generous measurement at that. When given a basketball and a hoop, Echols does things on the court that people under six-feet tall should not be able to do.
Windmill jam? No problem. Need to see him go 360 degrees? He’s got it. Brandin Echols is a bad man.
The junior college transfer from Memphis shared these videos on Twitter Monday afternoon. In his debut season for the Wildcats Echols led the team in pass break-ups with nine, finished fourth on the team in tackles with 52, recorded 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack and two forced fumbles. Echols secured a Belk Bowl victory for Kentucky by knocking the football free on the final play of the game.
Mark Stoops is expecting big things from Echols in his final year at UK. If not, maybe Coach Cal could use him on the basketball court?
