Randall Cobb, family are 'lucky to be alive' following fire in garage
A serious fire at Randall Cobb‘s home in Nashville, TN has his family feeling lucky to be alive after they escaped the flames.
Cobb, who played wide receiver at Kentucky from 2008-10, and his wife, Aiyda Cobb, posted to Instagram on Thursday the details of what happened.
According to Aiyda, who said the the family is “lucky to be alive”, the fire was sparked by a Tesla charger in the family’s garage, which rapidly began to spread. The Cobbs, who have three sons, posted pictures of the damage that you can view below, which shows burned cars and a burned garage.
“First and foremost, we are all safe and healthy,” The Cobbs wrote on Instagram. “We got out of the house and I was able to go back in and get our dog, Louie. we can’t thank Chief Caruthers, Captain Irvin and the Nashville Fire Department enough for their swift action.
“I can’t get the image of the brave firefighter getting into position out of my head; he didn’t even have water to shoot yet. I truly thought the cars were going to explode and that we would lose him in this tragedy. He is a true hero.”
