Rapid Reaction: Music City Bowl Reignites Kentucky Football vs. Basketball Controversy
Sunday afternoon we learned the Wildcats’ postseason fate. The news was not well received. Kentucky will return to the Music City Bowl for the sixth time and they will take on Iowa, the team it beat in last year’s Citrus Bowl. The game will kick off at the same time as tip-off between the Cats and Cards at Rupp Arena.
Just when you thought the “Basketball School vs. Football School” comments might go away, fans are now forced to choose on sport or the other on New Year’s Eve. Drew Franklin, Nick Roush and Adam Luckett discuss this disastrous turn of events. The Music City Bowl selection may be a catastrophe, but the Rapid Reaction is one you will enjoy. Highlights:
- Lowest scoring bowl game ever?
- Tickets are easy to find, hotels, not so much.
- Warm that leg up, Wilson Berry.
- There will be no rushing records broken or stats padded for wide receivers.
