It’s a big day for the Kentucky football program. The Wildcats spent the morning getting the BBN ready for the 2023 season. In the evening Kentucky fans got a glimpse of the future when Stone Saunders committed to Kentucky.

The Blue Chip quarterback from Harrisburg, Pa. picked the Wildcats over Nebraska, Georgia, Miami and Michigan. Even though he’s only beginning his junior year of high school, he already has a state championship under his belt and two years of experience as a starter.

Stone Saunders is the 25th-ranked quarterback, a top-10 recruit in Pennsylvania and the No. 336 over player in the 2025 class according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.

Liam Coen has known Stone’s father since the Kentucky offensive coordinator was in college. That connection may be the key to unlocking the Wildcats’ long-term future. Nick Roush and Adam Luckett break down the big picture impact this quarterback’s decision is going to have on the Kentucky football program with another edition of Rapid Reaction.
