Mark Stoops told the media on Monday that Kentucky will be very close to full strength at the end of the month when the Wildcats travel to Jacksonville. The only potential opt out was tailback Ray Davis. After much speculation, the redshirt senior went on record on Thursday night.

The first-team All-SEC tailback will suit up for Kentucky against No. 22 Clemson on Dec. 29 at EverBank Stadium.

“First and foremost, I want to say thank you to God for allowing me to be in a position I am today. To the Big Blue Nation, I want to say thank you for showing me the best parts of what college football can be. To the staff, to the coaches here at Kentucky, I want to say thank you and for helping me grow into the best young man I can be. To my teammates, the boys, I’m forever indebted to y’all,” Davis said in a video put on social media. “I love y’all the most, and I appreciate y’all being on this journey with me.”

“See y’all on December 29th,” was printed on the graphic at the conclusion of the video.

Kentucky will be at full strength when they lock horns with Dabo Swinney‘s Tigers this bowl season. The ACC program is dealing with some opt outs. The same is not true in Lexington.
