Georgia Amoore has six regular-season games left in her college career before she and Kentucky WBB begin postseason play. Sitting at 19-3 overall and 8-2 in the league, Amoore and the Wildcats have already had a remarkable year before the gauntlet ahead. Kentucky still plays No. 3 Texas, No. 4 South Carolina, No. 5 LSU, and No. 14 Tennessee. The Texas game is tomorrow night in Historic Memorial Coliseum. (A limited selection of tickets are still available.)
Before Kentucky hosts the Longhorns, Amoore made a second in-season appearance with Kentucky Sports Radio on Wednesday to look ahead to the rest of the season. She told Matt Jones and the show’s audience that she is “super excited” for the road ahead.
“I think the way that our schedule is set up, it was nice for us to kind of gain chemistry together and get to know each other before we hit the ground running. And it’s the quintessential SEC-caliber teams that you have to face at the end of the season. But I’m super excited; it’s exactly what we came here to do.”
Amoore was bummed by Kentucky’s most recent loss earlier this week at Ole Miss. Still, she believes the Wildcats are in a good position at this stage of the season.

“Obviously, we have a couple of disappointing losses on the year, but honestly, who doesn’t? You know, if you’re not losing, you’re not learning. So we’ve learned a lot from that. And I think the biggest lesson was just rebounding. And for teams that we’re playing, you know, you talk about the Texas and the Tennessees, you have to limit turnovers and rebound the crap out of the ball. So that’s what we’re learning to do. And obviously, when the time comes to do it, we’ll know exactly what to do.”
