Rhyne Howard has been more than good in her third season in the WNBA. Just the other day, she passed Diana Taurasi to become the youngest player in league history to make 200 career threes. The success continues for the former ‘Cat.

On Thursday, Howard and the Atlanta Dream took on the Indiana Fever — the team headlined by Aliyah Boston and, of course, Caitlin Clark. It was a game full of stars, and Howard made her presence felt on the big stage.

In 28 minutes of play, Howard scored a season-best 26 points while shooting 6-10 from three-point range. She also had two rebounds and two steals on the night. Whether it was catching and shooting or creating her own shots, she was getting buckets.

Her previous season-best for points scored was 25, and that came in the first game of the season — a 92-81 win over the Los Angeles Sparks. Unfortunately for Howard, the Dream weren’t able to get the job done on Thursday as they lost 91-84.

Aliyah Boston’s career game in which she scored 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds ultimately put the Fever on top. Kelsey Mitchell had 24 points of her own as well. Caitlin Clark had seven points and six assists on the night.

Howard has been one of the best players for the Dream all season, if not the best. Through 11 games, she is averaging 15.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. Additionally, her 2.5 steals per game rank 2nd in the WNBA behind Arike Ogunbowale of the Dallas Wings. Howard is one of only three players in the league averaging at least two steals per game.
