Riley Welch joins Kentucky Basketball Coaching Staff

Former Kentucky basketball walk-on Riley Welch will join John Calipari’s 2021-22 coaching staff as a graduate assistant. The news comes a day after UK announced Brad Calipari will serve as a graduate assistant for his father.
Welch will be involved in all on-court activities including practices, individual workouts and film sessions, while assisting the staff with practice and game-plan preparation.
Welch spent two seasons in Lexington as a member of the Kentucky basketball team. He also played college basketball at UC Irvine and College of the Desert.
