Roadtripping back from Knoxville post-win with Sources Say
Nothing feels better than a road trip back to Kentucky following a big win for the Cats — this one extra special considering the opponent and circumstances. Down two starters and three rotation pieces, in enemy territory taking on a top-10 rival as a double-digit underdog? Go win the game. No one believes in you, so why not? That’s exactly what UK did in Knoxville, pulling off the 78-73 victory inside Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center.
You already got our immediate reactions from the gross orange floor, but how about the next-day thoughts on the drive home? That’s where Steven Peake and I come in for the next edition of Sources Say.
How did Kentucky get the job done? What was the scene like inside TBA? How about some behind-the-scenes stories of Tennessee fans flipping the bird and trying to fight us — plus Mark Pope getting into it with the officials from the bench? What does it mean for UK as the Cats prepare for Coach Cal and the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday?
