Rob Dillingham, Reed Sheppard named 'Top 10 Players' heading into NBA Draft Combine
The NBA playoffs are starting to heat up and that means that the NBA Draft is right around the corner. We won’t what teams players will land on until June 26-27, but one of the biggest events of the pre-draft process is right around the corner.
The NBA Draft Combine in Chicago will take place on May 12-19. On Friday, the NBA released the names of the 78 prospects who received invites to the list. Rob Dillingham and Reed Sheppard were each unsurprisingly named, but the one-and-done guards were given a special classification.
Per Shams Charania, Rob Dillingham and Reed Sheppard were each named “top 10” players in the draft. Alexandre Sarr (Australia), Matas Buzelis (G League Ignite), Stephon Castle (UConn), Donovan Clingan (UConn), Zaccharie Risacher (France), Nikola Topic (Serbia), Ron Holland II (G League Ignite), and Dalton Knecht (Tennessee) also joined the Kentucky products in the top 10.
Justin Edwards and Antonio Reeves also received invites to the combine.
Jaxson Robinson receives NBA Combine invite
Numerous players currently in the transfer portal also received combine invites on Friday. Cam Christie (Minnesota), Coleman Hawkins (Illinois), Bronny James (USC), and JT Toppin (New Mexico) are some of the bigger names. One notable Kentucky target also appeared on the combine list.

Jaxson Robinson won Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year honors last season at BYU playing for Mark Pope. The 6-foot-7 win averaged 14.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 26.4 minutes per game on .426/.354/.908 shooting splits. Robinson was the most talented player on BYU’s team last season and had a robust three-point shooting volume (6.9 attempts per game). Kentucky has long been considered the favorite to land the former Arkansas and Texas A&M player who spent the last two seasons at BYU.
Robinson was a late entrant into the transfer portal and will now work out at the NBA Draft Combine. If the super senior with one year of eligibility remaining decides to pull out of the draft, Kentucky will likely be seen as the favorite to add the wing to their roster.
Players returning to college basketball must withdraw from the NBA Draft by May 29 to maintain eligibility for the 2024-25 season.
