Another week, another dozen-plus offers extended to various high school recruits across the country.

The Kentucky Football coaching staff continues to put in the hours (and miles) now that the evaluation period is open, scouring schools up in the northeast all the way down to the Sunshine State. By my count, as of Wednesday afternoon, at least 20 more scholarships have been handed out since the week began. As we’ve been doing, we’ll list them all and touch on the majority of them. I’ve also added a couple of recruiting notes at the bottom of the post you’ll want to check out, too.

Let’s dive right in.

All rankings are courtesy of the On3 Consensus.

Class of 2023

Isaiah Nixon: 6-4, 225-pound EDGE | Lakewood (Saint Petersburg, FL) UCF COMMIT
4-star, No. 157 overall; No. 18 EDGE

A top-ranked EDGE defender and UCF commit since mid-April, Isaiah Nixon received his Kentucky offer on Tuesday. He’s considered a top 200 prospect in the country and was previously considering the likes of Georgia, Miami (FL), Florida, LSU, and Florida State before committing to the Knights. UCF wasn’t high on his radar from the public eye, but he committed shortly after taking a visit to campus. Perhaps Kentucky senses that Nixon jumped the gun a bit and is open to exploring his options.

Kamran James: 6-6, 265-pound DL | Olympia (Orlando, FL)
4-star, No. 336 overall; No. 43 DL

Florida is currently considered the runaway favorite to land Kamran James, whose recruitment has blown up significantly since the beginning of the new year, but there could be a long way to go. He began 2022 with only a handful of offers from the likes of Syrcause, USF, and Ole Miss, but now boasts scholarships from programs such as Cincinnati, Nebraska, Florida, Auburn, Miami (FL), Georgia, Florida State, Louisville, and most recently from Kentucky and Alabama. UK’s new inside linebackers coach Mike Stoops extended the offer to James on Tuesday.

Paul Mubenga: 6-3, 275-pound IOL | Buford (Buford, GA)
3-star, No. 528 overall: No. 45 IOL

Kentucky’s new offensive line coach Zach Yenser and defensive backs coach Chris Collins extended an offer to Paul Mubenga on Tuesday, which was just the latest scholarship to come into his hands. Mubenga is another prospect on the rise who recently received offers from the likes of Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Penn State, South Carolina, LSU, and Miami (FL), among others.

Charlie Symonds: 6-7, 265-pound OT | The Taft School (Watertown, CT)
3-star, No. 693 overall; No. 48 OT

Considered the top-ranked player out of Connecticut, Charlie Symonds also earned his offer from Coach Yenser on Tuesday. Symonds has over a dozen offers now, including ones from Stanford, Michigan State, California, and several other Power 5 schools. Along with Cal, other west coast programs such as UCLA and USC have recently hosted him for visits.

Collin Dixon: 6-1, 200-pound WR | Tallmadge (Tallmadge, OH)

While he’s not ranked by the On3 Consensus, Collin Dixon is still generating plenty of Divison I interest. His 20th offer came from Kentucky and associate head coach Vince Marrow on Tuesday. Dixon’s other scholarships of note are from Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Illinois, and Indiana. Wisconsin and Illinois will both host him for visits this summer — two places he already made trips to during the spring.

Chance Fitzgerald: 6-3, 170-pound WR | Nolensville (Nolensville, TN)

Chance Fitzgerald has actually held an offer from Kentucky since Dec. 2020, his very first from a Divison I program. He hasn’t quite blown up since then but has been hauling in offers from the likes of Liberty, Troy, Arkansas State, Buffalo, and Toledo since February. The reason I bring him up is that it would appear the ‘Cats continue to keep tabs on Fitzgerald, who received a ton of birthday wishes from the staff (led by wide receivers coach Scott Woodward) in the mail on Tuesday.

Class of 2024

Sammy Brown: 6-2, 215-pound LB | Jefferson (Jefferson, GA)
4-star, No. 11 overall; No. 2 LB

Kentucky defensive backs coach Chris Collins is admittedly swinging for the fences when he offered Sammy Brown on Monday. Brown has expectations to assume five-star status as his high school career progresses, and his offer list so far would indicate he’s on that path. Texas A&M, USC, LSU, Alabama, and Michigan have all offered since the month of April. The competition is stiff for UK, but they aren’t getting into the mix too late in the process. It’ll be interesting to see if Kentucky can get Brown to Lexington for a visit.

KingJoseph Edwards: 6-5, 240-pound EDGE | Buford (Buford, GA)
4-star, No. 63 overall; No. 6 EDGE

Not only does KingJoseph Edwards have the best name in his class, but he’s also considered one of the premier EDGE rushers. Like Sammy Brown, Edwards is hearing from all the big-name programs: Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU, Texas, etc. Coach Collins extended the offer to Edwards, who indicated in his tweet about the scholarship that he’s “eager” to meet defensive coordinator Brad White, defensive line coach Anwar Stewart, and associate head coach Vince Marrow. Getting him on campus would be considered a win for the ‘Cats.

Ernest Willor Jr.: 6-2, 220-pound EDGE | St. Paul’s School (Baltimore, MD)
4-star, No. 77 overall; No. 7 EDGE

Continuing the trend of highly-rated sophomores earning a Kentucky offer, next we have Ernest Willor Jr., who heard from Brad White on Tuesday. Willor has already hauled in scholarships from the likes of Cincinnati, Tennessee, Boston College, and Louisville in just the last couple of weeks. Michigan and Notre Dame are also high on his radar.

Kylan Fox: 6-4, 205-pound TE | Grayson (Loganville, GA)

Now up to roughly two dozen offers since Kentucky extended a scholarship on Wednesday afternoon, Kylan Fox is a hot commodity right now. He’s been hauling in offers left and right this spring, also taking visits to the likes of Coastal Carolina, Duke, Georgia, and Tennessee since April. Chris Collins, Brad White, and Vince Marrow were the trio of UK coaches tagged in Fox’s tweet announcing the offer.

Justin Greene: 6-4, 245-pound EDGE | Mountain View (Lawrenceville, GA)
4-star, No. 189 overall; No. 15 EDGE

The first SEC offer for Justin Greene came from Kentucky and Coach Collins on Wednesday morning. He’s previously received offers from Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Wake Forest, and Boston College. Greene isn’t being heavily recruited by the top-tier programs yet, so UK getting into the mix now should help pay off a bit more down the road.

Brandon Rehmann: 6-1, 180-pound WR | St. Joseph’s (Philadelphia, PA)

The last 24-plus hours have surely been exciting for Brandon Rehmann, who earned a Kentucky offer from wide receivers coach Scott Woodward on Tuesday before receiving one from Penn State earlier on Wednesday — his first two Divison I offers. He’s not a ranked prospect right now, but that could very well be about to change. Rehmann is someone we’ll absolutely continue to monitor.

Cam Richardson: 6-1, 185-pound S | St. Peters Prep (Jersey City, NJ)

A recruit on the cusp of (or currently in the middle of) a blow-up is Cam Richardson out of New Jersey. Coach Woodward and Coach White extended an offer on Monday on Kentucky’s behalf, the same day Michigan State did as well. Coastal Carolina, Pittsburgh, Louisville, West Virginia, Syracuse, Penn State, and Boston College have all offered since April.

Tysen Campbell: 5-11, 170-pound S | Archbishop Hoban (Akron, OH)

Similar to Brandon Rehmann, Tysen Campbell has seen his stock take a recent rise in the recruiting world. Kentucky’s Coach Marrow and safeties coach Frank Buffano offered Campbell on Tuesday, just a few days after Michigan did the same. Those are his only two Divison I offers as of right now, but it won’t be that way for long. He took an unofficial visit to Ohio State at the end of March and the Buckeyes will surely keep a close eye on the local prospect.

William Satterwhite: 6-5, 280-pound OL | Archbishop Hoban (Akron, OH)

Teammates with Campbell at Archbishop Hoban, William Satterwhite is deep under the radar. Coach Marrow also extended the offer from Kentucky, which was the first from a Divison I school for Satt.

Class of 2025

Jadon Perlotte: 6-3, 200-pound LB | Buford (Buford, GA)

Kevyn Humes: 5-11, 170-pound CB | St. Frances Academy (Potomac, MD)

Blake Woodby: 5-10, 180-pound CB | St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD)

Kelan Butler: 6-3, 205-pound EDGE | Jefferson (Jefferson, GA)

Caden Piening: 6-4, 200-pound WR | Anderson (Cincinnati, OH)

Ameer Yasin: 6-6, 295-pound OT | Tallmadge (Tallmadge, OH)

Other recruiting notes

  • Long considered a Kentucky lean, Corbin wide receiver Dakota Patterson has kept his recruitment relatively quiet for a while now. The 6-foot-2 versatile athlete is a rising senior from the class of 2023 and has been hearing from the ‘Cats since they offered him all the way back in Oct. 2019 — his very first Divison I offer. Since then, Patterson has hauled in scholarships from the likes of Tennessee, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, and Virginia. He’s been to Lexington multiple times and was on campus for the Spring Game back in early April. Florida was also able to get Patterson on campus, although no offer has been publicized. Most recently, Mississippi State extended an offer on Tuesday. Patterson told KSR on Wednesday he plans to camp at Florida, Texas, Cincinnati, and Kentucky this summer, and possibly a few others.
  • YAHTZEE! Well, sort of… On Wednesday, class of 2022 linebacker Edward McKee announced that he has committed to Kentucky where he will continue his football career. Playing down at IMG Academy in Florida, the 6-foot, 205-pound native of Texas will come to UK as a preferred walk-on, choosing the ‘Cats over an opportunity from TCU. Come on down…
