Kentucky football coaches were back on the recruiting trail this week. One of the more notable storylines from the last several days was offensive coordinator Liam Coen paying a visit to four-star class of 2025 QB Ryan Montgomery up at his high school in Findlay, OH on Tuesday. Elsewhere, Kentucky coaches were traveling across the eastern United States handing out plenty of offers to the next hopeful batch of Wildcats.

Upwards of a dozen scholarships went out since last Friday from the UK coaching staff, including a trio of offers to nationally-ranked rising seniors and even one to an eighth grader. Who else did Kentucky take a look at this week? Let’s break them all down.

  • Kentucky associate head coach Vince Marrow is a well-known figure in the world of Ohio recruiting. He dipped back into the area on Wednesday where he offered a pair of Villa Angela – St. Joseph prospects, the most notable being Dominic Kirks. Iowa and Temple have also offered Kirks this week, joining the likes of Washington, Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, and Indiana, among others that had already done so. He also visited Ohio State in March. Kirks is teammates with four-star ’25 running back Bo Jackson, who is hearing plenty from the Wildcats. Kirks is familiar with UK, as he visited in June 2022 for a camp with Jackson.

Steven Soles Jr. (LB) 6-2, 215 | Powell (Powell, TN)
3-star: No. 796 overall, No. 85 LB

  • It was exactly one week ago that Steven Soles Jr. announced his offer from Kentucky, which he received from wide receivers coach Scott Woodward and inside linebackers coach Mike Stoops. His mid-three-star ranking doesn’t reflect his offer sheet, though. Alabama and Miami (FL) have both offered, as have South Carolina, Mississippi State, and Missouri. Soles visited Miami in early March and then went to Virginia Tech not long after.

Burnett holds additional offers from the likes of Michigan State, West Virginia, and Penn State. The Nittany Lions were his first-ever DI offer, which came in June 2022, and he took a gameday visit there back in the fall.

Mal Waldrep (OT) 6-4, 280 | Central (Phenix City, AL)

  • Kentucky coaches are no strangers to the Phenix City, AL, area and went back this week to offer Mal Waldrep on Thursday. Coach Yenser extended the offer on the WIldcats’ behalf, joining the likes of Auburn and Georgia Tech as schools that have already done so. Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia have yet to offer, but all three programs have been keeping close tabs on Waldrep, getting him on campus for multiple visits already.

Nolan Davenport (TE) 6-6, 230 | Washington (Massillon, OH)

  • Hailing from the same Ohio-based high school as incoming freshman tight end Tanner Lemaster (Washington), Nolan Davenport is an equally impressive tight end who earned his Kentucky offer on Thursday from Coach Marrow. His other offers include Marshall, Louisville, Miami (OH), Akron, and Pittsburgh.

Coleman Lewis (LB) 6-1, 205 | Lowndes (Valdosta, GA)

  • Doubling as a star baseball player for Lowndes (GA) High School, Coleman Lewis received his offer from Kentucky on Tuesday, tagging a trio of Wildcat coaches in defensive line coach Anwar Stewart, inside linebackers coach Mike Stoops, and defensive coordinator Brad White.
