Sacred Heart women's soccer team wins state title
Before we close out the night, a big congratulations to the Sacred Heart women’s soccer team, which defeated Lexington Catholic 2-0 this afternoon to win the state title.
Seniors Gabriela Quintero and Katie Barney scored goals for the No. 1 Valkyries, while goalkeeper Amanda Isaacs — daughter of lawyer Darryl Isaacs — made four huge saves to seal the win vs. the No. 3 Knights. Her save in the 74th minute (pictured above) helped sealed the win for Sacred Heart.
