Sahvir Wheeler is a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award
Kentucky point guard Sahvir Wheeler is one of five college point guards still in the running for this season’s Bob Cousy Award. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame trimmed its list on Monday to include Wheeler and four others in contention for the top point guard honor and a spot in the Naismith Starting 5.

Wheeler currently leads the SEC and ranks third nationally with seven assists per game, the highest mark of anyone on the list. He is chasing Kentucky’s first Cousy Award since Tyler Ulis won it in 2016.
