Sam Williams-Dixon reaffirms commitment to Ohio State
Three-star tailback Sam Williams-Dixon was a surprise official visitor to Kentucky earlier this week. However, a flip for the Ohio State commit does not appear to be occurring right now.
The Pickerington (Ohio) North rising senior made it back to Ohio State for his official visit with the Buckeyes this weekend. Williams-Dixon reaffirmed his commitment to Ryan Day’s program on Twitter.

The No. 692 ranked prospect in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking committed to the Buckeyes on April 15 and that appeared to be a firm commitment until Vince Marrow was able to convince the three-star prospect to take an official visit at Kentucky. The latest development tells us that Sam Williams-Dixon currently plans to stick with the Buckeyes and that Ohio State wants to keep the tailback in its 2024 recruiting class.
Signing day is still six months away. Things can change quickly in college football recruiting. Kentucky is not putting all of its eggs in the Williams-Dixon basket. High three-star prospect Jason Patterson is scheduled to take a mid-week official visit with the Wildcats before top-500 prospects Johann Cardenas and Tovani Mizell arrive in Lexington on Friday. If Williams-Dixon were going to make a move to Kentucky, it might need to happen soon.
