A lot of smart people are buying into what Kentucky Football continues to cook up, even if spring practice is still a couple of months away.

Over at Saturday Down South, Michael Bratton (aka SEC Mike) had some incredibly kind words for the Wildcats and the state of head coach Mark Stoops’ program heading into the 2021 season–even if Bratton didn’t actually say anything. On Twitter, SEC Mike released his predictions for all 14 SEC programs and he had the ‘Cats a bit higher than you might have thought. He projects Kentucky will finish second in the SEC East behind only the Georgia Bulldogs.

That’s right; ahead of Florida, ahead of Tennessee, ahead of all those other mediocre SEC EAST schools. The hype for this upcoming Kentucky Football roster is warranted when taken into account the players who are returning and the players they are adding. Liam Coen hopes to update to a more modern, pass-friendly offense as the new offensive coordinator and he’ll still have the ever-efficient Chris Rodriguez in the backfield to help create a deadly running game.

Here are SEC Mike’s entire predictions, including the SEC West (can you guess who he has at No. 1???)

SEC EAST

Georgia
Kentucky
Florida
Tennessee
Missouri
South Carolina
Vanderbilt

SEC WEST

Alabama
Texas A&M
LSU
Ole Miss
Arkansas
Mississippi State
Auburn

Kentucky assistant coach Vince Marrow isn’t fine settling for No. 2, however. He wants the crown.
