Saturday's Top 10 matchup between Kentucky-Florida named best Game of the Week

We’re in for a potentially awesome week of college basketball. But there won’t be a better game on your TV screens in the coming days than what is in store this weekend at Rupp Arena.

To help kick off the new year, NCAA.com reporter Andy Katz listed his Top 10 games of the week earlier on Monday. Sitting at the very top is Saturday’s matchup between No. 10 Kentucky (10-2) and No. 6 Florida (13-0) in Lexington.

The Wildcats will first have to take care of the Brown Bears on Tuesday before looking ahead to Saturday, but Mark Pope‘s SEC-opener is going to draw plenty of eyes. Florida has yet to drop a game this season, although Kentucky will be the team’s toughest challenge yet. Tipoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. EST on ESPN. The ‘Cats and Gators kick off what will be a very long day of nothing but college basketball.

Kentucky vs. Florida is one of several Top 25 matchups on the docket this coming week, but it’s the lone Top 10 matchup in store. Saturday, in particular, should be extra fun. 17 of the AP Poll’s Top 25 teams will be in action on that day, including four games between ranked teams.
