Kentucky baseball is coming off the best season in program history after making it to the College World Series for the first time. The path to a repeat appearance was announced this week.

On Thursday, the SEC unveiled conference schedules for all 16 programs ahead of the 2025 college baseball season. As has been the case for many years now, the SEC slate will be unforgiving for Kentucky and head coach Nick Mingione, who is about to enter his ninth season in charge.

Kentucky’s 2025 SEC schedule begins on March 14 at home against Georgia and finishes on the road on May 17 against Vanderbilt. The SEC Tournament is scheduled for May 20-25 at the Hoover Met.

The Wildcats will face 10 SEC opponents this season, with eight of them making the NCAA Tournament last season and two (Texas A&M and Tennessee) playing in the College World Series championship.

This will also be the first time that Kentucky takes on league newcomers Oklahoma and Texas as members of the SEC. The Sooners and Longhorns made the postseason in 2024. Both series will be held in Lexington at Kentucky Proud Park. Matchups with Auburn, Ole Miss, and South Carolina will also be held at KPP.

Kentucky’s roster took a bit of a hit during the offseason thanks to the MLB Draft and the transfer portal, but Mingione — who recently earned a hefty pay raisebrought in plenty of talent to counter that. The Bat Cats should be right back in the mix as one of the SEC’s best teams with goals of another Super Regional on the brain.
