The 11th season of SEC Nation begins this weekend as Florida hosts No. 19 Miami (FL) in a Sunshine State showdown. A week later, the crew will once again return to Lexington.

On Friday afternoon, the SEC Network announced that SEC Nation will make its way to the Bluegrass for a Week 2 matchup between South Carolina and Kentucky. This will be the ninth time that the Wildcats have hosted the SEC’s version of College Gameday. The show’s crew of Laura Rutledge, Paul Finebaum, Roman Harper, Jordan Rogers, and Tim Tebow will set up shop right outside Kroger Field.

The Gamecocks and Wildcats will kick off on Saturday, September 7 at 3:30 p.m. EST on ABC. SEC Nation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Marty & McGee preceding it at 9:00 a.m.

Kentucky was featured on SEC Nation three times during the 2023 season, posting a 1-2 record with a home win over Florida plus losses to Georgia (road) and Alabama (home). The show used to plant itself outside of William T. Young Library on UK’s campus, but more recently, it has moved to just outside of Kroger Field next to the Joe Craft Football Training Center.

Throughout the show’s history, Kentucky has played host eight times but holds just a 3-5 record in those outings. The ‘Cats have made 16 total appearances (including one in 2019 for the Citrus Bowl) on SEC Nation, producing an overall record of 5-11.

Getting that number to six wins when South Carolina rolls into town will be massive for the rest of Kentucky’s 2024 season.
