As many of you might already know, it’s not going to be as easy as turning on the TV and flipping to ESPN to watch Kentucky football’s season opener next Saturday. The Wildcats will host Miami (OH) on Sept. 3 at 7:00 p.m. EST on the SEC Network+, meaning you’ll have to watch the game through the ESPN app. Whether you do that on your smart TV, laptop, tablet, or phone doesn’t matter, but you’ll need to log in through the online app in order to see the ‘Cats.

If you need a step-by-step guide to help you out, we made a handy tutorial last season for this exact reason that should point you in the right direction. You can find that through the link here.

Since Kentucky is getting the SEC Network+ treatment to kick off the season, the broadcast crew isn’t going to be filled with the Tom Harts of the world. Instead, the Big Blue Nation will watch and listen to a crew consisting of Mike Morgan, Tom Ramsey, and Coley Harvey.

Personally, I had never heard of these three individuals until UK Athletics sent out the press release. I’m sure they’ve called Kentucky games in the past at some point, but the names don’t ring a bell right now. After a quick Google search, I was able to find some basic information on who they are.

Morgan has been calling college football games for ESPN since 2009 and has been a regular voice with the SEC Network since 2014. He’s won several awards for his play-by-play announcing. As for Ramsey, he joined ESPN in 2012 and is now a football analyst for the network. Lastly, Harvey will step in as the crew’s sideline reporter, which he’s been doing with ESPN for a number of years.
