Shaedon Sharpe will visit Kentucky next weekend, per report
The longer Shaedon Sharpe goes without announcing his commitment, the more anxious Kentucky fans become. So hopefully this bit of news will bring back the optimism.
According to ESPN’s Paul Biancardi, Shaedon Sharpe, a five-star prospect from the class of 2022, will take a visit to Kentucky next weekend with a visit to Arizona scheduled for this weekend. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound combo guard will make his second trip to Lexington this summer, as he took an official visit back in June.
Sharpe is a consensus five-star recruit and arguably the top overall player in his class. Updated On3 and Rivals class of 2022 rankings have him tabbed at No. 1 with other sites expected to follow in the future.
It’s long felt inevitable that Sharpe would eventually commit to the ‘Cats, with the initial expectation that it could happen by the end of August. Multiple recruiting outlets have him trending toward Kentucky and CBS Sports reporter Matt Norlander recently called Sharpe to Kentucky the “lock of locks”.

UK made his Sharpe’s five earlier this month and the momentum has not slowed since.
The Big Blue Nation collectively held its breath for just a moment once Sharpe posted to his Instagram this week that he had officially received an offer from the NBA’s G League Ignite program, but a looming trip back to Kentucky spells good news for the ‘Cats. It appears that his decision will come down to UK or Arizona.
Kentucky getting the second of the two visits is important, too. There is a belief that Sharpe could commit by early September, which would line up with his second visit to Lexington.
