Gilgeous-Alexander, brother of former Kentucky guard Shai, committed to the Purple Aces over scholarship offers from South Carolina, Fresno State, and New Mexico.

Here are some of his highlights:

Oddly enough, Evansville is scheduled to play Kentucky in the regular season this year, meaning the Wildcats will get to face both McCarty and Gilgeous-Alexander at Rupp Arena next season.

According to McCarty, the matchup is scheduled for the beginning of November.

“November 11, 12 or 13th of 2019-20, we will play them,” the former Kentucky forward said. “That’s what the plan is.”
