Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's brother will play for Walter McCarty at Evansville

The brother of one familiar face will be suiting up for another familiar face next season.
This evening, 2019 point guard Thomasi Gilgeous-Alexander committed to play for former Kentucky star Walter McCarty and the Evansville Purple Aces.

Gilgeous-Alexander, brother of former Kentucky guard Shai, committed to the Purple Aces over scholarship offers from South Carolina, Fresno State, and New Mexico.

Oddly enough, Evansville is scheduled to play Kentucky in the regular season this year, meaning the Wildcats will get to face both McCarty and Gilgeous-Alexander at Rupp Arena next season.
According to McCarty, the matchup is scheduled for the beginning of November.
“November 11, 12 or 13th of 2019-20, we will play them,” the former Kentucky forward said. “That’s what the plan is.”
