Love was in the air on Valentine’s Day Eve in Rupp Arena. The fan base loved seeing Kentucky get back into the win column following three heart-crushing home losses the last two weeks. That was nice. John Calipari loved his team’s response to their home funk. He again thanked the fans for doing their part in the late game.

In the crowd, two Kentucky fans committed to forever love with a wedding proposal. The lucky guy took a knee during the first media timeout, asking for her hand in marriage as Hunt Brothers Pizza’s Hunk Cam broadcast the moment throughout the arena to loud applause. UK Athletics threw in some flowers and a sash to commemorate the engagement, seen below:

The “Will You Be My Valentine?” signs were out in Rupp Arena in the win against Ole Miss. Reed Sheppard was their target. Here is one of the signs held by a young fan hoping that Reed will be hers for the holiday.

Sheppard did not commit to any Valentines during the game, as far as we know. However, he said after that game, “The win was big. It was big that we were all having fun out there, all getting physical, and all playing as a team. We never lost confidence in each other or in the team when we lost. We knew we had to keep getting better and keep fighting. We had a great couple days of practices and everyone’s mindset was also great coming into this game.”

The BBN loves to hear that.
