Shooting still a concern after last night's win

Along with interior defense, Kentucky's shooting woes have been one their biggest detriments of the season. Though they were able to right the ship against Louisville (hitting 50% of their 3s), last night's game was another step back for the young Wildcats. Kentucky shot just 28% (7/25) from 3 point land and 50% (10/20) from the foul line.
Clearly, the bad shooting didn't play much of a factor in last night's outcome. Kentucky showed a lot of improvement in their defense and rebounding - which were enough for them to route Ole Miss. Still, a poor shooting night could spell disaster in the single-elimination climate of March, so one hopes to see more consistent play going forward.
Currently, UK is only hitting 31.3% of their shots behind the line, which ranks 280th in the country. What gives?
Well, aside from a few individuals who are struggling, part of it can be blamed on the shortened shot clock. Kentucky is still taking a lot of time to get into their offense, which results in a lot of desperate three point attempts before the clock expires (with many of them coming from Ulis). Luckily, this problem should be corrected as the team gains more experience in their offensive sets before March, which will result in better shots.
Right now, Cal seems to be primarily focused on fixing UK's defensive and rebounding problems. Judging by last night's outcome, that's been a wise choice.
