Simone Biles, Machine Gun Kelly headline Barnstable Brown party celebrity guest list

Louisville will be the place to be this weekend, as the world turns its attention to the Bluegrass State for the 151st Kentucky Derby. Many celebrities will arrive in town on Friday for the Barnstable Brown party. The guest list was released for the annual Derby Eve gala today, and there are some big names in addition to the long list of regulars.

Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history, will attend the party before giving the “Riders Up” call at the Derby on Saturday. Rapper Machine Gun Kelly is also on the guest list, along with country music star Dierks Bentley and comedian Tracy Morgan. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has become a regular at the Derby and will be at the Barnstable Brown party on Friday night, along with his former teammate and Kentucky Football great Randall Cobb, Davante Adams, and some other fellow former Packers.

Selma Blair, who recently revealed that she is relapse-free from symptoms of multiple sclerosis, is expected to attend. I don’t think it’s possible for this party to take place without Boyz II Men, Travis Tritt, Joey Fatone, and Larry and Danielynn Birkhead, so they’ll be there too. Many more musicians are on the list, including Bowling Green natives Nappy Roots; Jordan Smith, who rose to fame on The Voice; rappers Doug E. Fresh and DMC; and Creed lead singer Scott Stapp.

This is the 36th Barnstable Brown Kentucky Derby Eve Gala, which benefits UK HealthCare’s Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center. The center was established in 2008 by twin sisters Patricia Barnstable Brown and Priscilla Barnstable along with their late mother, Wilma. Together, they pledged the initial funding to support the center in memory of Patricia Barnstable Brown’s husband, David, who passed away in 2003 from complications of diabetes. Over the years, the event has raised over $21 million, including $1 million in 2024, and has been named one of the “Ten Best Parties in the World” by Condé Nast.
