It’s been a month since the media made their picks. Now it’s time for the coaches to unveil their All-SEC selections.

Six Kentucky Wildcats made the cut, with three appearing on the first team and three on the third team. Eli Cox was the one player who earned a little more love from the coaches than the media pollsters.

Deone Walker, DL, First Team Defense
Maxwell Hairston, DB, First Team Defense
Barion Brown, First Team Return Specialist, Third Team All-Purpose
Eli Cox, OL, Third Team Offense
Marques Cox, OL, Third Team Offense
Jamon Dumas-Johnson, LB, Third Team Defense

After struggling to create continuity following the loss of John Schlarman, the Kentucky offensive line is shaping back into form with a couple of Super Seniors who are among the best in the SEC. They spent the preseason working in the trenches against one of the top defenders in the league, Deone Walker. This week the Kentucky defensive lineman earned quite a bit of NFL Draft buzz, along with the Cats’ shutdown cornerback on the outside.
