Skyy Clark says Kentucky expected to add two commits "in the next couple of days or weeks"
Are we on commitment watch for Kentucky basketball’s next addition in the class of 2022? If you ask five-star guard commit Skyy Clark, we most certainly are.
In a recent interview with Jason Jordan of Sports Illustrated, UK’s lone commitment in the rising senior class says the program is expected to add not one, but two players “soon.”
Just how soon? Clark says to be on the lookout “in the next couple of days or weeks.”
“We should have two guys coming soon, I’m hoping,” Clark told Jordan. “I’m saying two are coming in the next couple of days or weeks, and hopefully we’ll get a third. That’s what I’m hoping. Just be on the lookout. You heard it here first.”
While the five-star guard didn’t reveal who he’s expecting to join the fold, five-star guard Shaedon Sharpe is expected to commit at some point in August, with Kentucky seen as the overwhelming favorite in his recruitment. There’s one. As for the other, UK recently offered both Cason Wallace and Nick Smith Jr., while they are also making strong pushes for the likes of Dereck Lively II, Brandon Miller and Adem Bona, among others. Could one of them make a surprise announcement in August?
Outside of recruiting, Clark also addressed his ACL injury, surgery and a timeline for return, confirming that he will be back on the floor at some point in January.

Analyst calls out Kentucky fans
“It was a freak accident,” Clark said of his injury. “No one was even around me when it happened. I tripped on my own foot, tried to catch myself and my leg bent backward. I knew right away it wasn’t good. … (The start of rehab) was tough, but it was good. Other than my rehab, I’m doing stuff in the chair like form shooting and dribbling. I’m just doing whatever I can.”
Clark added that the Kentucky coaching staff has been “super supportive” throughout the injury process and are looking forward to his return to action this winter.
“The whole staff, but really the whole program, school and fanbase has been supportive,” Clark said. “That’s just how Kentucky is. They really care about you and take care of you. It’s been great to feel all of the support.”
