The anticipated return of Skyy Clark is here, as the five-star guard signee will take the floor for the first time since undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL back in July, his father tells KSR.
The future Wildcat is set to make his season debut on Thursday, January 6 at 5 p.m. ET when Montverde Academy (FL) takes on Sunrise Christian (KS) in the La Porte Invitational. The game will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
It will be the first of three games for Clark at the La Porte Invitational, with Montverde also playing Bishop Walsh (MD) at 5 p.m. on Jan. 7 (ESPN+) and La Lumiere (IN) at 7 p.m. on Jan. 8 (ESPN+).
Kentucky forward signee Chris Livingston and his Oak Hill squad are also participating in the event, playing Wasatch (UT) on Jan. 6 at 3 p.m (ESPNU), La Lumiere on Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. (ESPN+) and Bishop Walsh on Jan. 8 at 3 p.m. (ESPN+).
Clark’s father, Kenny Clark, tells KSR that UK head coach John Calipari will be in attendance to see his son’s season debut on Thursday.

“Skyy was our first commitment in this class and is a tremendous leader,” Calipari said of Clark in November. “He’s a skilled point guard who can score it, who can pass it and who can create for his teammates. He has the physicality to get on someone and really guard. He is a terrific playmaker who is really going to mesh well with this group.”
Clark is rated as the No. 15 overall prospect and No. 3 combo guard in the 2022 On3 Consensus.
The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 26.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 11 games for Ensworth High School (TN) as a junior before opting out the remainder of the season due to COVID-19.
He shut things down back in late January of 2021. 12 months later, Clark is making his return to high school basketball.
