Kentucky point guard commit Skyy Clark has suffered a left knee injury and will miss the remainder of summer basketball, the five-star prospect announced on Friday.

First announced by Travis Branham of 247Sports, the 6-foot-3 guard later confirmed that he had suffered a partially torn ACL and meniscus in his left leg, keeping him out of next week’s Peach Jam, among other high-profile recruiting events this summer.

“To all those that support and show me love around the country it saddens me to say that I have suffered an injury to the ACL and meniscus in my left leg,” Clark announced. “I will not be participating in any more basketball events for a few months as I go through the process of healing, recovery and rehabilitation!

“I’ve gotten great news from one of the top surgeons in the world that my left leg will come back STRONGER than ever and this will not affect my decision to attend Montverde Academy this Fall and the University of Kentucky in 2022. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I go through this journey/thing called life in the most positive way possible. Thank you all.”

Clark’s father, Kenny Clark, tells KSR the rehab process has already begun and the five-star guard will be “back in no time.”

“He’s doing really well,” Clark said. “Started rehab already and will be back in no time. He’s doing great, we press forward. We attack this like we attack anything in life. 100% commitment.”

Clark is ranked as the No. 13 overall prospect in the 2022 class by ESPN, with 247Sports and Rivals both listing the five-star guard at No. 15 overall.

Best of luck to Clark in his road to recovery.
