Mark Pope made history on Saturday, becoming the first head coach since Adolph Rupp to win their first three top-10 matchups at Kentucky. The Wildcats took down the No. 6 Florida Gators in an instant classic inside Rupp Arena, one that saw massive swings both directions in a heavyweight battle of the ages, but only one winner. In the end, it was UK standing over UF like Muhammad Ali taking down Sonny Liston to move to 1-0 in SEC play and add credibility for a coach who doesn’t need much more after a historic start in Lexington.
