Sources Say talks through a heartbreaking finish to an INCREDIBLE season for Kentucky

It could not have gone worse for Kentucky in Indianapolis, trailing for all but 32 seconds against bitter rival Tennessee in the Sweet 16. The Wildcats were crushed on the glass 34-24, gave up 19 second-chance points, lost the bench scoring battle 23-6 and turned it over 12 times to end their season, Mark Pope’s first in Lexington.
There is only so much to say about the single performance against the Volunteers — just not their day, a running theme in Indy with five straight losses in that terrible city. There is plenty to say about this season, though, Pope leading the program to history with a group that was easy to love from top to bottom.
