Former Kentucky great Sydney McLaughlin was named the International Association of Athletics Federation 2018 Female Rising Star Award winner. A major honor for the 19-year-old track star that spent her lone year in college at Kentucky.

To hold so many world records before she turns 20 is absolutely nutty. We said during the spring and last winter that she was the best athlete on UK's campus and she may go down as one of the best athletes to every wear the blue and white. Kentucky's most successful one and done? It's her or Anthony Davis and the future looks incredibly bright for McLaughlin.
